In this poignant and intimate film and photo campaign, created in partnership with UK campaigning organisation Dignity in Dying, British photographer Rankin captures the life and legacy of assisted dying advocate Paolo Marra.
Throughout the campaign, titled The Last Request: A Reflection On Assisted Dying, Rankin not only celebrates Marra's life, but confronts the reality of assisted dying laws, as she shares her own decision to travel to Dignitas in Switzerland for her final act of autonomy.
Through a raw interview and emotive photo montages, Marra fiercely and eloquently expressing the need for legislative changes that would allow individuals to make informed decisions about their own lives.
