Ella Fitzgerald and Justin Timberlake probably weren't referring to their latest playthrough of Tomb Raider when they sang Cry Me A River, but, if the torrent caused by a gamer's experience in this latest spot for PlayStation goes to show, they might as well have been.
Exemplifying the heft provided by the PS4's 'Pro' iteration, Feel the Power of Pro, adam&eveDDB's latest in the current string of big-budget, big-concept executions for the brand provides a slower-paced wave of emotive imagery, flooding the screen (for want of a less on-the-nose phrase) with shots of a world submerged in water.
Climaxing on the source of the overflow - a gamer's single tear whilst playing Hideo Kojima's latest mind-bender, Death Stranding - Academy's Frédéric Planchon's gorgeous-looking film makes for a slightly more cerebral spot than we're used to from the gaming sector.
