“Our mission was to conceive, develop, and then insert our computer-generated visual effects into a space built out of a multitude of mirrors. Curiously enough, we spent most of our time working not on the effects and the imagery, but on developing concept art that aligned with the director’s vision. This task was made that much easier by the fact that we’ve already worked together in the past,” says Bartosz Krasicki, VFX Supervisor.
Back in 2019, Steiner worked with Platige Image to produce a commercial for Polish clothing brand Reserved. Starring Kendall Jenner, the video drew on Italian 1970s cinema and went on to garner acclaim from the fashion industry and the broader public.
Commenting further on the Versace effort, Bartosz Krasicki, VFX Supervisor, also said: “Every project is unique and requires an individual touch. This one was particularly striking in how original it was. Because of the director’s confidence in us, we could show off a little. Like the rest of the Platige team involved in the project, I enjoyed this latest collaboration very much.”
