Dating apps and social media have ruined the magic of falling in love.
At a time when ‘love at first sight’ is in jeopardy and authentic connections feel fleeting, the Pedigree brand and BBDO New York is celebrating that magical meet cute moment when people find the perfect shelter dog to adopt while providing consumers with a fun and interactive way to connect with their next true love. The new Pedigree campaign shows that love at first sight still exists and is available at your local shelter.
These placements, which will run across TV, OLV, social and print, instill a much-needed sense of optimism encouraging us to see the goodness that surrounds us. The TV spots started airing in March and the OLV, social and print placements will continue rolling out over the next few weeks.
To further celebrate the good dogs bring humans, the Pedigree brand is also creating a “dating site” to connect shelter dogs with someone truly in need of some optimism, the recently single. Rebound Dogs is a fun, light-hearted and interactive experience that matches people with a shelter dog that’s the opposite of their ex. This site, complete with a detailed survey that matches people with the perfect adoptable pup in their area, is set to go live on April 5.
