Gender representation in the beautiful game is getting more even as the years pass, but many football 'fans', without ever having watched women's football, have strong opinions about the level of the players.
Challenging that with a delightful level of trickery are Orange and Marcel; the pair taking a stand in favour of women's football ahead of the French national team the Bleues’ international competition, with the aim of overturning one of the prejudices that all too often surround the players.
The concept is simple (though, we imagine, the implementation was anything but): present a never-before-seen compilation of highlights from the men's Equipe de France, which quickly reveals itself to be a collection of technical moves from the women's Equipe de France - aka La Compil des Bleues.
Using clever VFX, generated by Prodigious, the deepfaked footage looks impeccable as it plays out, with the combination of the sleight-of-hand reveal and a smart endline - "when Orange supports les Bleus, Orange supports les Bleues" - making for an impactful and persuasive execution.
