Cadence Films welcome Optical Arts to their roster for exclusive representation in France.

Founded by renowned photographer and director, Dan Tobin Smith, Optical Arts is a multidisciplinary collective working across creative direction, CGI artistry, film direction and stills photography.

The studio has been set up as a place to explore visual ideas and techniques, and nurture emerging creative talents. Blurring boundaries between CGI animation and live action shooting, Optical Arts has already a track record of proven collaboration with premium and emblematic brands as Louis Vuitton, Dom Perignon and Apple.

"Optical Arts and Cadence share both the same vision and high standards which go without saying for our clients who often come from the world of luxury, Beauty and fashion. That’s why the expertise of Optical Art’s teams fits perfectly into our actual roster. And we are convinced that the savoir-faire and the artistic approach of the studio will also appeal to French creative agencies. Their recent campaign for Apple Watch Ultra clearly illustrates their capacity for delivering strong visual storytelling projects, where ultra-realistic 3D animation integrates perfectly with live action shooting” said Carole Guenebeaud, managing partner and executive producer at Cadence Films Paris

Over the past years, Optical Arts have won both Clio and Creative Circle awards for their Refuge’s 50th anniversary campaign for BBH, delivered a Guinness Sustainability spot for AMV BBDO that was shown to world leaders at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021. More recently, Optical Arts has won a silver award in animation at the 1.4 Festival for their project The Cliff.
