Consumers traditionally don’t transact in real estate during the winter months. And yet, 26% of both buyers and sellers don’t feel the season has any influence over when they buy or sell their home.

To explore this shift, and the idea that any time of year is the right time to move, Opendoor is releasing a new ad titled Bright Lights. The new spot marks the second creative from its Reasons to Move series.

Bright Lights is a festive tale of one homeowner’s breaking point. When a neighbour's over-the-top holiday decor invades his bedroom, it's enough of a reason to sell his home with Opendoor right away. The humorous twist shows that with Opendoor’s seamless process, even the smallest reason can be reason enough to pack up and go, even during the holidays.

“Whether it’s a neighbours’ overly festive light display or a desire for a change in scenery, any reason is a good reason to move,” says Opendoor Chief Marketing Officer, David Corns. 

“Our latest spot empowers homeowners to sell to Opendoor during an untraditional time of year so they can spend more time enjoying the holidays and less time worrying about their next move.”

Bright Lights was directed by Emmy-winning director duo Sean Mcllraith and Ryan Mcllraith. VaynerMedia is the lead creative agency and Eva Nosidam Productions is the lead production agency.
