Vibrant hues, kooky comedy and a combination of realism and on-screen mobile graphics are used to follow a young lad’s journey through his day, showcasing how his phone offers, ‘a little more than you’d expect’.
Director Jara Moravec commented: “This project was a director’s dream. Shot in colourful Buenos Aires with an incredible team, in prep we pushed through summer heat waves only to wake up to two rainy shoot days. Fun fact – not a single shot in the ad was shot with real sunshine.”
Moravec added, “I wanted to explore how we can narrate this story, taking a page or two from a comic book. It was an interesting challenge to take a look at all the camera moves, so prominent in today’s advertising, and deploy them in a way that supports the story. Plus, I really enjoyed using Fiverr to find a group of r’n’b singers in Nigeria to sing the ends lines to the ad.”
