What's the song you've listened to most during this isolation period?

So, I was at a red light while coasting down Ventura Blvd a couple months ago with my buddy and, all of the sudden, we hear this nasty, Mobb Deep-esqe type beat playing from the car next to us and with some crazy bars.

The light turned green, we stalled for five-to-six seconds so that I could hold my Shazam out the window and, luckily, I was able to capture it. The song was Ain’t Sh*t by Reverie [below]. Have easily listened it 200 times since then. Can work to it, isolate to it, and definitely lives on my playlist. Reverie’s a West coast artist who brings East coast mentality to the table.

What track always gets you on the dance floor?

Bando by ANNA is my latest dance floor jam. She’s a 17-year-old Italian rapper from La Spezia who became an overnight viral sensation. This one definitely also lives on the running playlist.

What's your 'guilty pleasure' track?

I don’t believe in any guilty pleasures when it comes to music. I've regularly listened to playlists that include everything from Speakerboxxx/Love Below to Justified to The Blueprint. My brother and I were both listening to Baby One More Time on a run the other day. 100% pleasure, 0% guilt. Tell [singer, songwriter and producer] Max Martin I need to book a session with him ASAP. 

What song always makes you turn off the stereo when it comes on?

I think, lately, it is that song Renegade that blew up on TikTok. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an absolute heater. I've turned it off lately because I’ve involuntarily heard it about a thousand times as my girlfriend and brother learn the corresponding dance to it upstairs as I’m working downstairs. Thankfully, I’ve got two floors in the apartment unit, otherwise I’d really go crazy in isolation listening to that on repeat. Good news to report is they have successfully learned the dance!
