Helmed by CALLING and new-land director Libby Burke Wilde, this emotive short film for child protection charity NSPCC authentically portrays a new mum's experience of postnatal depression.
With an affecting performance from Eastenders' actress Louisa Claire Lytton, the poignant campaign looks at the impact that becoming a mother can have on a woman, and highlights the importance of contact with others.
Using a documentary approach, Wilde gathered testimony from a number of new mothers to uncover the nuances of their life experience, with the story for Reconnecting found through the contents of a real letter submitted during the research process.
