Editorial and VFX company Nomad continues its year of expansion with the addition of accomplished editor Ally Gondeck to its team.

This move follows the recent acquisitions of celebrated editors Raj Ramnauth and VMA-nominated editor Zoë Mountain.

Gondeck, coming from a musical background and possessing a deep passion for sound and visuals, has built an impressive career collaborating on high-profile projects for some of today's leading artists. Her editing work has been featured in music videos for artists such as Ciara, Camila Cabello, Willow Smith, Yungblud, and Big Sean. Notably, her editing of Yungblud's music video "Lowlife" earned her a well-deserved shortlist nomination for Kinsale's Best New Editor award and premiered on the iconic Times Square marquee.

In addition to her work in the music industry, Gondeck has a diverse portfolio that includes editing spots for renowned brands like Sony, Lexus, BMW, New Balance, and Tommy Hilfiger, among others.

Gondeck shared her approach to editing, saying, "The art form of editing lies in finding ways to continue to embellish your own voice as well as the director's. For me, this happens after I get a first pass down and a piece is starting to take shape as an edit rather than a hastily assembled sequence. That's where I feel creative."

Gondeck's debut project with Nomad is the eagerly anticipated music video for the song Feather by global popstar and internet sensation Sabrina Carpenter. With over 100 million streams and trending as a viral song on TikTok, the track has generated significant excitement among fans and industry professionals alike. Gondeck collaborated on the project with decorated director Mia Barnes of Radical Media and renowned production company Freenjoy.

Regarding the creative process behind Feather, Gondeck explained, "The first cuts of Feather moved at a really fast pace. When Mia and I were on set, I had something together by the end of the shoot day. The focus was on capturing the nuanced emotions of a glamorous popstar with darker undertones, giving it a cinematic feel rather than a typical music video. Mia's voice is one I can deeply relate to. Our collaborations make the process all the more special, creating something both novel and unforgettable."

Julia Williams, Executive Producer, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "Ally is a true powerhouse. With a proven track record in commercials and music videos, she seamlessly embodies our commitment to creativity. We're excited to welcome Ally and are confident she'll be a key player in our creative culture."

Editor and Partner Jai Shukla added, "Creative editing is both an innate talent and a cultivated craft. In our dynamic industry, editors like Ally reaffirm that the future holds great promise. We are thrilled to have her here."

Gondeck remains at the forefront of industry and pop culture trends, constantly evolving her craft by infusing fresh inspiration and narratives into projects where she identifies their potential. Ultimately, her greatest source of inspiration comes from the creative individuals she collaborates with. "Surrounding yourself with like-minded and unique creatives is crucial. It's a driving force that forever challenges and fuels my passion for editing, and Nomad is the perfect space for that."
