What better way to celebrate the last of the sun than a spontaneous, Whopper-themed pool party soundtracked by iconic American DJ Steve Aoki?
Helmed by Fela director Kajal Patel, Rule the Beat is a brilliantly bizarre, burger-filled brand collaboration between fast-food chain Burger King, and the MTV Video Music awards, premiering during this year’s VMA broadcast.
Beginning in Aoki’s pad, the spot follows the artist as he draws inspiration from a Burger King jingle to create a Whopper-inspired anthem. The music spills out to the neighbouring apartment block, where graffiti artists, skateboarders, and street dancers get in on this energetic ode to the end of summer.
