At first glance, a still from Montblanc's latest spot, with stars Rupert Friend and Jason Schwartzman engaged in intricate blocking surrounded by pinpoint production design, could be mistaken for one of Wes Anderson's big-screen offerings.
To all intents and purposes, despite its running time, 100 Years of MEISTERSTÜCK could be considered quintessential Anderson; the director himself joining his company to deliver whip-fast dialogue around the iconic fountain pen's development.
With all of the visual flourishes fans of the filmmaker have come to expect, alongside a writing instrument prototype of his own that fans can pre-order, this gorgeously realised micro-short can comfortably sit in his pantheon of whimsy.
