Moms need milk in new campaign
Good Times’ Bonnie Dennison and Alison Barton helm the latest campaign for Milk with agency Gale.
From the directing duo of Bonnie Dennison and Alison Barton, and produced by Good Times, comes the latest campaign for Milk.
The Hey Mama campaign spots Sleep and Strength are infused with nuance and humour, and more than a touch of the pair’s signature weirdness.
Influencer moms, of the fitness and homesteading variety, juxtapose the truth of motherhood with quirk and charm. With the message that moms need sleep and strength, not #INSPO, this is Instagram vs reality come to life brilliantly. Dennison and Barton draw on their performance and comedy writing background to deliver the brand’s message with wit and ease.
“We love directing funny campaigns that have a real message, and the message of the Milk Hey Mama campaign really spoke to us. The unrealistic expectations put upon women (especially mothers) is a theme we explore frequently in our work,” said Dennison and Barton, “From the initial brainstorming all the way through to editing and post, it was such a joy to collaborate with the talented folks at Gale.”
Dennison and Barton have written and directed award-winning short films and well-known commercial campaigns for brands including Wendy's, Subway, Amazon, Spotify, and Liquid Death, featuring performers such as Mindy Kaling, Shaquille O’Neal, John Cena, Terry Crews, Megan Rapinoe, Ken Jeong, Sarah Hyland, and Martha Stewart, to name a few.
