The Motor Neurone Disease Association’s new film captures both the horror of the debilitating condition and the love that remains between sufferer Mike and his partner-turned-carer Zoe.
Created by the Good Agency and sensitively directed by Tim James Brown, the campaign coincides with one of the main cast of UK soap series Coronation Street being diagnosed with MND. The spot was played out on ITV1 during the show this week.
Set against the haunting track The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, from Roberta Flack, who herself has MND, the aim of the spot is to help fund further research into this mysterious and cruel disease – the causes of which are still unknown.
