The coronavirus pandemic has touched all corners of the globe and, for some small businesses, its affect has been devastating.
This film, created by GUT Buenos Aires and co-directed by Armando Bo and Javier Usandivaras through Rebolucion, Mercado Libre, the online e-commerce marketplace, shows how people and businesses can reinvent themselves.
"The biggest challenge was trying to make a film that had a positive tone, that was not linked to the pandemic in a negative way, that transmitted a special energy, different from everything we have been seeing in recent months," says Bo. "Our goal was to convey another type of message, to take a step forward. We are very happy because we achieved that."
"We started from a script with a great idea," adds Usandivaras. "The challenge for us was to tell a story that showed how Mercado Libre helped entrepreneurs and sellers to reinvent themselves in this crisis. Both photography and music [The Turtles' 1967 hit, Happy Together] were a great support when it came to exhibiting the effort put into that reinvention."
