March Fourth’s disarming call to arms
This provocative PSA for the anti-gun pressure group proves there is no good reason for people not to join tomorrow’s protest march in Washington to ban assault weapons.

“I wanna be fearful every time I am in an open area in a public place,” says a man on a park bench. “I enjoy practicing lockdown drills with six-year-olds who don’t fully understand what is happening,” whispers a teacher sitting in hiding with a bunch of small children.
This simple but effective PSA, created by Chicago agency Quality Meats in collaboration with Zambezi LA and produced by BMP, brilliantly demonstrates the power of a clever script. If features a range of people stating all of the reasons they won’t be joining the Pass the Ban protest march taking place tomorrow.
Each reason depicts the absurd, terrifying reality that all Americans are forced to live with on a daily basis. Ultimately, the film shows that unless you’re ok with these realities of the mass shooting epidemic in the US, there’s no good reason not to march.
Hundreds of mass shooting victims, physicians, and gun safety activists from across the country will gather in front of the U.S. Capitol tomorrow, Thursday, September 22nd, to call on the Senate to pass S.736, the federal assault weapons ban.
The film was briefed, concepted, produced and released within two weeks, with production split between LA and Chicago, all thanks to support and goodwill of Golden LA, the BMP Film Co., Work Editorial, Carbon VFX and FiddleLeaf Sounds.
March Fourth released the film on their social channels. Participants who want to join the Pass the Ban event in person, or virtually, can register here.
