Not another interpretative dance film, we hear you moan. But the launch campaign for Accenture Interactive's new Amsterdam agency, 01, breathes new life into the genre.
Directed by Luke White and produced by Kream London, the 90-second film follows a hypnotic pas de deux between contemporary dancer Thi-Mai Nguyen and an enormous robotic arm, created by industrial manufacturer Yaskawa.
Strikingly simple in concept, but beautifully captured, the overall effect is both hypnotic and unexpectedly emotional; there's almost a tenderness in the way the machine cradles its human partner. Maybe the tagline - 'Magic happens when creativity and technology are one' - isn't so far-fetched after all...
