In collaboration with creative agency The Monkeys, a part of Accenture Song, New Zealand outdoor apparel brand Macpac has launched this playfully precarious spot, directed by Damien Shatford through Sweetshop.
An extension of the brand’s Weather Anything platform, the creative showcases the quality of its outdoor clothing, by dangling a trio of hikers from a cliff’s edge, with only a Macpac jacket between them and certain death. With a delightful dose of Kiwi humour, the unfazed adventurers manage to keep their cool by putting their faith in the durability of their gear.
“We watched Cliffhanger... and realised cliffhanger moments are called so for a reason – you can’t look away.” explained Hugh Gurney, Creative Director, The Monkeys Melbourne. “So, we just added a Macpac jacket, some deadpan Kiwi delivery and a little special Shatford sauce and it ended up pretty great.”
