Revered music video director Dave Meyers and British-Nigerian rap icon Little Simz have collaborated to launch this jaw-dropping promo through Freenjoy, for the her latest track, Gorilla.
From the cinematography to costume design and choreography, every element of this film feels so effortlessly cool. Combining Meyer’s compelling visuals with Little Simz’ charisma and the backing of a full brass band, the film is reminiscent of 90’s hiphop music videos with a contemporary twist.
Amongst gripping scenes that see Simz zooming about on a skateboard, cruising in BMWs, and ascending into the sky, the film also features colourful and distorted shots of the artist, created with the help of AI, which flow effortlessly alongside her irresistible beats.
