The boppy yarn of London artist Lava La Rue's latest track Vest and Boxers is wonderfully brought to colourful life by Compulsory directing duo Bedroom.
Given an over-saturated palette and slightly grimy, anarchic edge, invoking the counter-culture films of John Waters and the like, Bedroom's film combines animation and chaotic camera motion to give it a cartoonish edge.
La Rue herself puts in a charismatic turn; charmingly both narrating and participating in her love-lorn story whilst the directing duo fill the screen with tactile textures and energy.
