Directed by Rishabh Jain through Launji Films, this witty spec spot follows a trio of car thieves whose seemingly foolproof plan unravels almost immediately.
Inspired by a real-life incident, the film opens with three smug but hopelessly incompetent criminals who successfully break into a car and manage to start the engine. Everything appears to be going according to plan until they all climb into the back seat and wait for someone else to drive away.
Their fatal oversight soon becomes clear as the thieves bicker over who should take the wheel, before desperately searching: “How to drive a car when you don’t know how to drive?”. Built around simple human observation, the deadpan comedy brings a playful perspective to an industry rarely represented in commercial filmmaking.
