Karena Evans' killer couple

Whilst the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie-starring Mr & Mrs Smith might not have been the franchise-sparking blockbuster many had hoped for, its central concept of a husband and wife assassins is too delicious not to pursue.

With the mantle being taken up by Donald Glover and Maya Erksine in a new, unrelated series for Amazon Prime, the concept of the normal/not-normal life is clearly at the fore, a facet highlighted in these three terrific promos from Fela director Karena Evans.

In the vignettes, the audience is invited into intimate moments between the pair, with nothing (bar some murderous mentions) giving away their secret double life.

With Evans clearly comfortable in allowing the actors' clear chemistry to shine (her directing stint on the show itself paying dividends) and a relaxed performance and edit that go a long way to hint at the project's tone, this killer collection should draw in an intrigued viewership.
