Outdoors clothing brand The North Face has launched this personal and reflective film, directed by Great Guns’ Calum Macdiarmid in collaboration with agency Marits Roberts, which stars musician, conservationist, and explorer, KAM-BU.
Promoting the brand’s NSE Collection, the campaign is narrated by KAM-BU himself, who reads a self-written poem reflecting on a life spent between serene pockets of nature and the hustle and bustle of London.
The viewer is whisked between these diametrically opposed worlds, as dynamic shots of city roads and energetic performances juxtapose moments of solace in nature.
Shot on 16mm to give the film an earthy, vintage feel, the spot is set in locations personal to KAM-BU, from the places where he grew up to his own allotment.
