With a laid-back, dreamy feel and performer Hak Baker's easy charm shining through, the vid for stripped-down ditty Wobbles On Cobbles could almost be prescribed as an antidote to today's worries.
However, a listen to the spoken-word lyrics reveals a more melancholy message, one written "while we were all in the transient time of lockdown" and getting more pugnacious as the track rolls along.
"It's a project that came about from Hak and I collaborating previously on commercial projects and wanting to do something different, at a different pace," comments Riff Raff's Nursery of Evil director Jon E Price. "I wanted to embrace the stillness [of the song] and shoot a portrait of Hak, live on the cobbles using both live and studio recordings of the track.”
