This impactful and cinematic campaign, developed by Edelman and co-directed by Pedro Giomi and Leonardo Cosme through Czar Sao Paolo, visually illustrates the experience of navigating severe depression.
As the film opens, we see a woman who is struggling with her mental health disappearing through a door in her pantry. Her partner follows, searching through a maze of unfamiliar rooms from hospitals to yoga classes, each depicting different options patients may try on their journey to recovery.
Through this metaphor, Janssen Cilag International NV, a Johnson & Johnson company, aims to raise awareness of the complexities of severe depression and highlight the perseverance needed by those living with the condition as well as their caregivers – who most often play an instrumental role in providing support – as they work together to navigate their way "out of the maze".
