A parable about how a life can be changed through sport isn't exactly the most leftfield of ideas, but the execution of the tale told in INTERSPORT's latest branded short Offside marks it out for distinction.
Following a troubled young lad as he struggles with school and homelife, the film, directed by Iconoclast's Vincent Lobelle, jumps brilliantly between his ups and downs as he joins a local youth team.
Backed by the J Cole track Hello and with hyper-kinetic editing that throws you into the heart of the story, this moving mini-movie does a great job of showcasing the importance of having something to strive towards, and, quite brilliantly, ends with our talented protagonist not actually score the winning goal, instead assisting the team he's been welcomed into.
