Choosing an airline is a decision that's packed with considerations, so building an emotional connection with consumers can be the thing that tips the balance.

With its latest campaign for Norwegian, Oslo agency Try is leaning on sly humour to win over punters, presenting its offerings in an unshowy yet surprisingly impactful way.

Directed by Stylewar through Bleck Film, the 10-film campaign gives us a simple visual choice of this or that, framing compromises and frustrations as aspects of travel that don't need to be accepted.

“While tactical and sales-driven communication will always be important, we need to offer something more in order to build long-term preference,” explains Brand Director Camilla Aspen.

“This is where our unique brand personality and tone of voice come into play. By using humour and warmth in relatable, human situations – the good, the funny, and sometimes the frustrating things that can happen when travelling – we set ourselves apart from the competition.”

“We have chosen a broad channel strategy to reach as many people as possible, in bursts throughout the year," adds Tomas Tomasi, Media and Campaign Manager at Norwegian. "The aim is to create a lasting impression and reinforce the feeling that Norwegian is a smart choice."
