Tony's Chocolonely has been campaigning for slave-free chocolate since its launch in 2005.

It has a bar divided into uneven blocks because the chocolate industry is unfairly divided, and milk chocolate with an ‘alarm-coloured’ red wrapper. But, even now, there are still two million children working illegally in the international cocoa industry, and Tony's Chocolonely wants us to know that is extremely unfair.

That is why this Dutch brand wants to reinforce its ambitions internationally with this new campaign created by HERC Amsterdam and directed by Helmi through Division Paris. The agency has made a creative manifesto for Tony’s, with British actor and director Idris Elba as the voice over for the film, highlighting what the brand stands for.

“Tony’s Chocolonely is a brilliant brand with a wonderful, very special mission," said Rogier de Bruin, Co-Founder and Creative Director at HERC. "With the ambition to introduce and spread their message in other markets, they wanted a clear manifesto that would articulate and visualise their motto; 'Crazy about chocolate, serious about people'."
