Spanish director Ibon Landa has signed with the talent agents JSA for international work.
After starting his career as an award-winning and highly acclaimed Art Director at BBDO, he decided to make the leap into directing at age 27 and hasn’t looked back.
Landa quickly signed with one of Spain’s leading production houses, where he expanded his repertoire by shooting commercials, short films and music videos, often combining them with animation – one of his passions.
In recent years his directorial work has gained increasing momentum, propelling him onto the world stage through recognition at international festivals such as El Sol, Laus, and BFFF, not to mention receiving various Vimeo Staff Picks quality seals along the way.
Landa’s work covers multiple styles and disciplines, as can be seen in his eye-catching editing, post and lifestyle projects. A strong narrative ability also underpins many of his short films, such as his recent Basque-inspired Kirolak which picked up a Gold at the LAUS 2020 festival, and the gripping 'Gloomy Planets' for LA Fashion Festival that keeps our attention right through to the end.
