Full of antipodean charm, this cute campaign for Honest Eggs Co, created and produced by VMLY&R, reveals that a happy hen is a hen running free.
Directed by Sara Glaoua, the endearing spot features a chummy chook farmer cutting through the minefield of marketing terms used to suggest the hens are free range.
The Honest Eggs Company’s project saw VMLY&R team up with Airbag to create ergonomic, chicken-friendly fitness trackers that don’t impose on the day-to-day lives of the hens. Multiple prototypes were engineered and calibrated to properly capture the activity levels of individual chickens.
The FitChix provide actual step counts, which are printed onto each of the brand's eggs which are available at Australian supermarkets and prove how much each chook is actually scampering around unhindered.
