There's no doubt that the folks at HBO know how to tell a story, but it's rare that more attention is paid to the behind-the-scenes shenanigans than the on-screen action.
In this lovely series of shorts for the network from Wieden+Kennedy New York, hilarious (and somewhat horrifying) tales are told by the people behind some of the world's favourite shows, brought to life with stylish animation. The Slap Game, narrated by Game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and animated by Truba Animation, sees Benioff getting slapped silly by Jason Momoa; Acting Class, voiced by Alec Berg of Barry and animated by Titmouse, tells a tale of gatecrashing acting classes in LA; and Becoming Molly, told by Insecure star Yvonne Orji and animated by 6 Point Media, explains her path to acting and sees her meeting the real-life inspiration for her character.
Engagingly crafted and in lovely, bite-sized bursts, this is a campaign we'd love to see more of in the future.
