Guinness shows that no team is an island
As part of its largest global campaign to date, and marking its debut as the Official Beer and Official Non-Alcoholic Beer of the Premier League, Guinness and AMV BBDO take us to the isle of Eriskay, on which 10% of the population plays for the sole football team.

To mark its debut as the Official Beer and Official Non-Alcoholic Beer of the Premier League, you might have thought that Guinness would go BIG.
Instead, the lead film of its global campaign sets its sights on Eriskay - an island of 140 inhabitants where 10% of the population plays for the only football team, and matches are frequently interrupted by the dodgy pitch, free-roaming horses and shots that find their way to the sea...
Shot by MJZ's Steve Ayson, the spot captures the likeable team through delightfully shamrock-tinted lenses; leaning close to cliche but drawing it back with heart and wit.
The campaign from AMV BBDO is set to continue, with the film joined by Rooftop, launching globally in the coming weeks, Replay launching later this month across Asia, and existing spot Brothers, re-launching today across Africa.

“The Premier League isn't just football, it's a global occasion," explains Stephen O’Kelly, Global Brand Director, Guinness. "Millions of fans come together every week in stadiums, pubs and homes, united by their love of the game.
"For Guinness, it's an amazing opportunity to continue the success of the Guinness brand globally and become part of new rituals and existing traditions worldwide, by creating imaginative stories and experiences that tap into the passions and connections between the beautiful game, and the beautiful beer.”
Nicholas Hulley & Nadja Lossgott, Chief Creative Officers at AMV BBDO add: “Whether we’re fishing footballs out of the sea off the island of Eriskay, or playing football on the roof of a Korean shopping mall, it has been a wonderful and busy time bringing to life this very human, very Guinness body of work that shows that nothing bring us together quite like Guinness and the Premier League.”
