Co-directed by Sil Van Der Woerd and Jorik Dozy through Studio Birthplace, environmental organisation Greenpeace has today launched this shocking music-video-style campaign exposing the environmental impact of unregulated banking.
Titled MoneyTrees, the film opens with an orgiastic portrayal of greedy bankers destroying a lush rainforest with their chainsaws in their relentless pursuit of profit. Meanwhile, government officials look the other way - their inaction further exacerbating the crisis.
VFX flames engulf the forest as finance executives carry on with business as usual, highlighting the absurdity of how unregulated banks are pouring billions into the big corporations that are destroying the rainforests and other natural habitats.
The video was produced by Studio Birthplace, a creative studio & agency that focuses exclusively on planet-positive projects, and it features a specially composed rap soundtrack by GreedyBoy alias Joseph Wills.
