Editor Jordan Green Signs With BlueRock

BlueRock comedy editor Jordan Green.

New York-based editorial shop BlueRock has added editor Jordan Green to its roster. Green's body of work ranges from comedy and documentary-style spots to 3D character-driven campaigns and feature-length concert films for Metallica. He is the second heavy-hitter to join the BlueRock team this year after veteran editor John Maloney signed on in January.

Green has cut commercials for an array of brands that include Geico, Walmart, American Express, Sony, AT&T, Mircosoft, M&Ms, Puma and MTV.

Green's first love is comedy, but he is also a cinema and music fan that has cut music videos for the likes of Tricky, Garbage and The Goo Goo Dolls, as well as for video directors like Kinka Usher, Malcolm Venville, Samuel Bayer, Chris Smith, Jesse Peretz, Martin Granger, Wayne Isham and Mike Mills.

"I'm really delighted to be at BlueRock," remarks Green. "It's an incredible shop. I've known Jennifer Lederman (BlueRock's Managing Director) for many years, and I'm looking forward to getting the chance to work together on the same team. I've admired BlueRock and Spontaneous' work - the talent and producers there are top notch - but especially now, I think the way they integrate editorial, VFX, 3D, audio and finishing so seamlessly stands alone in terms of the scope of services they can provide for my clients. So I'm pretty excited."

"Bringing Jordan onto the roster immediately felt right," Lederman added. "He is completely dedicated to editing and his career, not to mention the fact that he also has an incredible reel. Agencies tell me they have fun working with him in the cutting room while, at the same time, they always get more than they ask for. It should also be noted that he plays a mean ukulele. His personality and his work will be a great fit and I'm so excited he's on board at BlueRock."

Green began his editing career in Los Angeles cutting at Spotwelders, later moving to New York because, as he put it, "I missed the art, the improv, and the pastrami."
