This Sunday sees the pinnacle of electric-powered car racing, as the E-Prix 2019 hits Hong Kong. To build hype ahead of the event, Formula E has teamed up with Iris on this small but mighty integrated campaign.
The 90-second spot, helmed by Rich Lee via Kode Media, sees an epic Formula E street race with a twist - the cars in wheel-to-wheel combat are actually RCs. Passers-by, pigeons, banana skins, puddles and an extremely bemused French bulldog make up the obstacles that the micro-motors must successfully by-pass.
To capture the action, the agency manufactured micro-replicas of the GEN2 car, using CAD data and created miniature dollies and rigs, and the attention to detail really pays off. A high-octane delight.
