Created by BBDO Bangkok for Five Star Chicken, and directed by Teenapol Suneta through Suneta House, this sweet film sees three famous Thai TikTokers get surprise messages from the oldsters in their lives.
Based on the sad fact that the younger generation’s phone use largely favours social scrolling over keeping in touch with family, the film is titled The Taste That Brings You Home and features adorable parents and grandparents who decide infiltrate their young 'uns digital spaces.
Transforming themselves into travel vloggers, mini soap opera stars, and even Na'vi aliens from Avatar, they successfully slide into their own children’s and grandchildren's DMs and convince them to come home and share a precious meal and some quality IRL times with them.
Released just in time for the Thai national long holiday, Songkran, when many Thais visit their hometowns to reunite with family, the film has stormed social platforms, receiving over 10 million views, 35K likes, 2K shares on Facebook alone to date.
