What's your self-isolation set-up at the moment?

I am on the beach house 30 minutes paradise from Lisbon, I work from home, have lunch and dinner outside on the house deck, around there is nobody even on the beach, completely out of people. Here goes a photo of the view.

It's lockdown; aside from your family, which four people, past or present, would you most like to be quarantined with?

My oldest and best girlfriend; Tony Robbins; Ricky Gervais and Deepak Chopra.

We need entertainment, what's your favourite short film?

Zion.

You've completed Netflix. And Amazon Prime. And Disney+. It's on the hard stuff; board games. What do you pick and why?

Reading, reading, reading… I forget to do this, so I’m picking up.

On a serious note, how do you think this situation will impact you individually, and the industry as a whole?

Following the strict instructions of global institutions, some shoots have been postponed, others have been cancelled. Some are still on as they are on the long run (we have shoots already scheduled for October which have not been cancelled). At PSP we are working remotely. We have 10am production meetings every morning and we are reorganising ourselves and implementing new ways to work after the social isolation is out.

Advertising has fallen abruptly, all jobs being cancelled or postponed. However, there’s a greater demand for content.

We have general meetings all week, where everybody is welcome to place new ideas to reinvent ourselves, to share news from our teams in Spain, Malta, London and Los Angeles, and to coordinate our departments; production, marketing, sales and financial.

Advertising has fallen abruptly, all jobs being cancelled or postponed. However, there’s a greater demand for content. Soon, social isolation will end, like has happened already in Asia. I believe, after the crash, the economy will boost to an even higher level, creating leverage for both advertising and entertainment. Industry players are going to reposition themselves and new working ways are going to be in place.

There is much work to be done, but we are convinced that through the power of creativity, we can reinvent ourselves. It’s 2020, and technology and communications tools support us as never before. Working remotely is part of PSP ADN. We’ll work through this, ensuring a safe and smooth functioning of the company during this challenging time.
