Comical and full of whimsy, Ridiculous Value for First Choice travel is a wacky and colorful mash up with an unexpected soundtrack.
It starts with a family on holiday, lounging by the pool. Then the shell drops. Doves fly, a drummer rises from the pool, sumo wrestlers float, attached to balloons, Cleopatra and her marionette pose for the camera, and mermen are shot out of cannons. All of it is, of course, ridiculous.
The details and production of the short is really what makes it so fun and wild. It feels random, with very little connecting one thing to the other as the absurdity of the ad is the focus. It’s enjoyable without much from the company added on, making sure that we pay attention to the surreality surrounding us. The sleek script, cheeky wink at the ending, and bright visuals crafted by Partizan all work to build a vibrant film.
