Featuring three wrongfully convicted persons - Rosa Jimenez, Termaine Hicks, and Huwe Burton - Happiest Moments is a condemnation of a broken system.

With thousands of years lost behind bars, the Innocence Project is dedicated to making sure that everyone gets the justice they deserve. Or at least, some kind of justice. Following the missing moments in the three formerly incarcerated persons’ lives, director Ariel Ellis creates a masterful argument for the inhumanity of the prison system. Using a variety of mixed media and real images, the statement that resonates from the film is powerful and relatable.

This piece is Hayden5’s first PSA for the Innocence Project, and it was narrated by actor Dascha Polanco, of Orange Is The New Black fame. “The mission of the Innocence Project cannot be overstated, so we jumped at the chance to collaborate with them,” says Sara Beamish, Hayden5 Producer. “We're drawn to these types of organizations because the people they represent remind us of our humanity. We hope this video gives freedom back to the wrongfully incarcerated and helps inspire people to get involved.”
