Whilst John Lewis has firmly established itself as the king of the Christmas commercials, Vienna-based Erste Group has quietly been stealing the seasonal animation crown.

Following up from Henry the Hedgehog, Hanna Bumblebee and Edgar, this fourth collaboration between Jung von Matt DONAU and Passion Studios maintains the gorgeous renderings and strong storytelling of its predecessors but imbues it with a wider message of making a better future.

With director Mark Waring at the reigns, #believetomorrow's clever digital/stop-motion style animation, delightful character designs and endearing plot twist makes for a film that is both thought-provoking and cockle-warming.

"Over the past years, the films we helped Erste Group create had a clear focus: let's believe in ourselves," comments Werner Singer, Creative Director and Managing Partner. "This year, we're expanding that thought: let's believe in ourselves - and in tomorrow.

"Just like Jakub in the advert, who faces choices every day as he seeks to prepare the world as best he can for his unborn daughter and can't wait to finally meet her."

"The future will be challenging for everyone," adds Mario Stadler, Head of Group Brand Management at Erste Group. "We will have to rethink our actions, look for alternatives, challenge ourselves -- and grow through the experience. This is not just about doing without, but also about making the most of opportunities and developing as persons.

"Let's believe in tomorrow."
