EE’s free spirits

Shouting, running, squabbling, snogging, sulking, larking around with supermarket trollies, dancing and diddling with their phones, such are the activities of modern British teens captured in this evocative film for EE. 

Set to Bloc Party’s well-loved track, the video was created by Saatchi & Saatchi and is one of three hero films at the centre of EE’s multi-channel campaign launching its extended subscription services. 

Casting real people rather than actors, the film sensitively depicts the modern teenage experience – from that feeling of freedom felt as the last school bell rings, to the multitude of ways young people are using  tech, including the challenges it presents. 

Kele Okereke, Lead Singer of Bloc Party commented: "When we released So Here We Are back in 2005 it was our biggest single so far, so for it to find a new audience 18 years later with the advert and this beautiful new video is really exciting and I think quite unique."
