The new spot for the Argentine League for the Fight Against Cancer, created by Grey Argentina, features a cast of all-singing, all-dancing finger puppets to promote more frequent urological check-ups that will catch prostate cancer earlier.
Whilst most health promotion campaigns are designed to elicit fear and educate on the consequences and risks of avoiding annual check-ups, Don’t Fear the Finger, directed by Fran Colombatti, through Landia, instead addresses the issue from a different angle.
The joyful animation uses a funnier approach that can make a very daunting procedure feel a lot less frightening.
Using finger puppets as the messengers in the campaign, it puts a comedic spin on something scary and intimidating by using characters that just live the whole time with a finger back there.
