Clever, low-budget shorts use their limitations (no money for locations, limited time-frame, need for immediate narrative connection) to their advantage.
Such is the example set by Neil Linpow's punchy, powerful film Time. Entirely confined (both literally and figuratively) to a solo jail cell, the short quickly introduces us to a panicked scenario, a protagonist with a purpose and a ticking clock to achieve it.
Driven by a tight, one-sided script and and an intense performance from Linpow himself, the result is a claustrophobic yet intimate rollercoaster that is certainly worth your time.
