It’s a good time to be an animator, and pushing the boundaries between live-action and animation is a perfect way to continually experiment at the edges of the artform. In Superstar’s 50th Anniversary, a group of men is transformed into animated figures over Chinese characters that meld and mix into the background. The color palette is limited and beautiful, the elements of contrast flowing snd spinning into each other.
It’s an expertly made and well-developed advert, and the shoes are constantly changing and shifting, a statement on style and the nature of fashion. Hypebeast Hong Kong has developed a fun and energetic promo for the brand.
