A wide-eyed innocent ventures out of the sea for the first time and experiences what it would be like to be 'part of your worrrrrld'...
Nope, we're not describing 1989 banger The Little Mermaid, but instead Disney's latest fish-out-of-water tale set to give us all the seasonal feels this Christmas.
Taking not only its influence but also its music from the aforementioned flick, The Boy & The Octopus varies when it comes to the land-intruder - this time taking the shape of an utterly adorable cephalopod who grows attached (literally) to a young boy he meets underwater.
Created by adamandeveDDB, clearly using up its JL-shaped heartwarming void, and directed by Hungry Man's Taika Waititi, demonstrating his uncanny ability to see the world through the eyes of a kid, this genuine uplifting and stirring story is a tentacular festive offering.
