Whilst clearly both showcasing physical prowess and a mastery of movement, boxing and vogueing have rarely shared the same space in people's hearts.

Well, that's all about to change with BETC Paris' deliciously camp and cheery new spot for Deezer, in which a pair of pugilists turn into expert shape-throwers when backed by funky track.

Shot on location in São Paulo, Brazil, and directed by Nogari via Iconoclast, Dance Fight wears its queer credentials on its sleeve - its stable of superstar creatives from the LGBTQ+ community, including Nogari himself, along with choreographer Eddy Soares, bringing a feisty spirit to the heart of the production.

“Boxers swing punches with such rhythm that we couldn't resist mixing boxing up with voguing and waacking to create something completely new and contagious," said David Martin Angelus, Creative Director, BETC Paris.

“It was very cool to put the spotlight on voguing and waacking in such a fun way, as they're making a huge comeback in pop culture. There's a comedic and over-the-top aspect to voguing and waacking that is absolutely contagious, especially when mixed with boxing.”
