Director Colin Solal Cardo (known for his work with Charli XCX, Eartheater, and Robyn) crafted a compelling dynamic between Jenys and the robotic camera, allowing them to move together as partners and enhancing the performance's intensity.

La Pac director Solal Cardo envisioned the video as “an intense performance brimming with rage, humour, and catharsis,” focusing on capturing Jenys, a young artist in her prime. Known for her hands-on approach to her art, writing, singing, producing, and directing, the challenge was to showcase her skills as a performer. He crafted an intriguing dynamic between Jenys and the camera, entirely operated by a robotic arm and choreographed like a second dancer.

The technical expertise from the Cinemotion Robotics team, in collaboration with choreographer Malik Le Nost, created a dynamic where Jenys and the camera moved in sync, treating the camera as a dance partner, with sharp and cutting- edge movements.

Jenys describes Like a Virgin as a story of self-destruction, where ego overtakes reality, leading to paranoia and an obsession with fame and success. The robotic camera represents not just a viewpoint, but a force Jenys interacts with—fighting, seducing, and struggling against, reflecting her internal conflicts.

The song is from her Dive Urgent EP, which explores the electric energy of nightlife and the tension between ecstatic release and the harsh return to reality. Like a Virgin captures the provocative, raw spirit of a nocturnal world, celebrating both its allure and the chaos within.
