Helmed by director Stephen Stinson through Nashville-based production company Stout, this heartfelt short film follows the inspirational story and unwavering tenacity of American singer-songwriter, Thad Cockerel.
Combining meditative, cinematic footage and reflective, documentary-style interviews with humble and inspiring insights from Cockerel himself, To Be Enjoyed paints an authentic picture of the artist’s ambitions, struggles, and lifelong passion for music.
Halfway through the film, Stinson reveals the artist’s serendipitous turn of luck, after a disappointing response to the release of his first album. Splicing in archival footage of television performances, Cockerel explains how a late-night television host overheard his music in a hardware story, and the rest was history.
