As part of its 100-year anniversary in Mexico, The Coca-Cola Company launches Last Coke in the Desert, a beautifully shot film directed by Gabriel Duarte through Rebolucion, and inspired by one of the country’s most beloved expressions.

Traditionally used to describe something unique, the phrase becomes the starting point of an epic sojourn across some of Mexico’s most extreme landscapes.

In regions such as the Sonoran Desert and Baja California, where conditions are harsh and distances vast, small independent stores achieve something rather cool – keeping a Coca-Cola ice-cold in crazy heat. But beyond the product, these stores represent something deeper — they are places of connection, rest and community.
